Rides

During the riding season we have a ride following the Breakfast Social and a ride to the Dinner Social. We also have an all day ride on the 3rd Sunday and a themed ride on the 4th Saturday or Sunday.  Our ride meeting points, with map links, can be found at the bottom of the page here.

Socials

The Chapter meets for Breakfast on the first Saturday of the month and for Dinner on the second Thursday. Please check the calendar for exact information on all of our events.

Memorial Park in Montgomery, MN 11am to 2pm, with burgers ready about noon.  If you would like to bring something to share, that would be great. Come join us for a great get together! * If someone is willing to lead the group to the park, it would be appreciated.  Scott and Joy will be going directly to the park from our house since I have the burgers and a few other items. read more »

8/8/2026      Older Than Dirt Ride

Alan leading: meet at the Central Ride Point, ready to leave with a full tank at 9am. Only some of this ride has been pre-ridden (what could go wrong? ??) Thanks to Scott N. for the suggestion and theme of this ride ... blame me for the ride / route. ?? Lunch in Sleepy Eye ~11:30 may be our first stop. Let me know if we'll need a quick stop sooner. [Update: we'll probably have a quick stop halfway there. ] Then 30 minutes to Jeffers Petroglyphs [ https://www.mnhs.org/jefferspetroglyphs ] Admission is $12, or $10 for seniors. There are options for a self guided tour, or a guided tour at 1:30p. Kathy and I have been here a few years ago and enjoyed it. Comfortable footwear and a water bottle should be considered. Currently our first scheduled gas stop is at KwikTrip in Redwood Falls at about 175 miles - about 45min after Jeffers. Let me know if this is too far. Morton Outcrops Scientific and Natural Area [ https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/snas/detail.html?id=sna02051 ] I have not been here (or pre-ridden it) but it looks interesting. Website says "This site has no maintained trails or other recreational facilities". From there, its less than 2 hours to Carver where the ride ends: at either the Creamery (might be busy on a Saturday) or the Casey's (with another possible ice cream plan).
